"We are living into God's dream of a community that welcomes everyone, grows spiritually and serves others."

Scripture: Matthew 3:13-17.

Any time we turn on the sink, go to a car wash, or turn on the hose we likely do not always consider how the water got there; where it came from, the process of purification, and so much more. While vital to our very being water is likely something we take for granted, and I wonder, what about the story water plays within the life of the church? What role does water play within the bible, within the Gospels, and, yes, within our journey of faith? From the waters of Baptism we are cleansed, purified, and respond to God’s claim on our lives, and on this 3rd Sunday of the New Year you are invited to come to the waters once more. Join Pastor Ross this Sunday as we explore some of the “stories in the water” we find within the Bible, and how they might pertain back to our own faith journeys. We will do so as you too are given the opportunity to reaffirm your commitment back to Christ, to the Church, and to your role in the church.
